Counselor in the Spotlight

Stacy Bauman, LPC

Stacy Bauman
Stacy Bauman, LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) has over a decade of experience helping persons in need, and persons looking to improve their happiness and life satisfaction. Stacy specializes in helping clients with stress & anxiety, depression, grief, and relationship problems (however, she helps a very wide variety of clients). Stacy provides counseling therapy for adults (individual counseling & couples counseling) as well as children and adolescents.

When working with clients, I want to make sure each person's experience is one that is positive and unique. I pride myself in not only listening to every client's own personal story but at the same time, I want them to feel like they can truly be themselves without any judgment. I have always had an interest in helping people in some capacity, from a very early age. Even in middle school and high school my friends and family would come to me to ask for my thoughts or advice on a particular problem they were having.

Because I enjoyed helping people so much, I decided to make a living doing just that. I graduated in 2002 from the University of North Texas with an undergraduate degree in psychology. In 2009, I graduated from Texas Woman's University with a Masters in Family Therapy. I specialize in working with families and adolescents. While attending school, I interned at a juvenile detention center and worked with troubled teens for a year. I also volunteered some time at a local Rape Crisis center.

In addition to working with adolescents and families, I also specialize in working with clients that have anxiety issues, depression, adjustment difficulties, self-esteem, eating disorders, anger management and adoption issues. In my spare time I enjoy traveling, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.

Stacy offers a free 10-minute consultation, as well as a sliding scale for clients in need.
